Expand your Artistic Creativity through
Online Art Schools

You have to be careful when selecting online art schools. There are a lot of courses out there that will give you a mediocre education and charge you fees that you would expect from an Ivey League school

If you haven’t figured it out I am all for online schools. They offer so much and if taken seriously can give you an outstanding education

But there are a few questions you need to ask yourself before selecting or even considering an online art school or any school for that matter (they are in no particular order).

  1. Do you know in what direction you like to take your career and does the school curriculum support it?

  2. Is the invest (cost) worth it! How much will your average starting pay be in relationship to the cost of attending the school (your dept)

  3. Is the program you are considering accredited?

  4. Will you be able to finish what you started (complete the program)?

  5. Has others been successful with their careers after completing the program?

If you have honestly answered the above questions then you should have a pretty good idea of what you want to do and what you are looking for.

There are some great benefits to attending online art schools that I believe will allow you to grow as an artist. The flexibility it the biggest one I see. When you get inspired the last thing you normally want to do is be in a rush knowing that you have to get to glass.

I mentioned accreditation above, there is so much talk about it but not many really understand what it is and who issues it so due your due diligence and educate yourself. Here is a link to start you off there, there are (6) accreditation agencies in the US and this is a good place to start.

Please make sure that your money is well spent.

I looked into a couple of schools that seemed legit. They either had successful alumni and decent accreditation.

ASU (Arizona State University) Home of the Sun Devils. This University has a very high success rate and most of their freshmen are top 10 of their highschool graduating class
Full Sail University Is a well known University with some very notable graduates. Here is some of the information I found about this school
The Art Institute A very popular school with campuses all of the country which also has online programs
